HK Holsters
HK owners are used to being an afterthought. The big holster catalogs stock Glock, SIG and S&W deep, then offer one HK option — usually a bare VP9, usually with no light, usually in black. If you carry a VP9A1 K with a weapon light and an optic, or one of the newer slim guns like the CC9, the off-the-shelf market mostly has nothing for you.
That is the kind of build this shop exists for. Every rig is cut and formed to order in .080" Kydex in Wilmington, North Carolina, around the exact gun, light and optic you carry.
HK builds we have shipped
A sample of what we have already built for this platform. Each rig was formed for one specific setup — take this as proof of what made-to-order actually means here, not as a list of what we are limited to:
- H&K VP9A1 K — with an Olight PL-X weapon light and an Osight XR optic, OWB with enhanced belt loops, in black
- HK CC9 — with a Holosun red dot, appendix IWB with a concealment wing and closed muzzle, in FDE
Two builds is a short list, and it is a fair reflection of how few HK carriers know that a custom rig is even an option — not a reflection of what we can form. An HK is no harder for us to build for than a Glock. It is the same process: you name the configuration, we confirm it with you in writing, we form the shell around that one setup.
Why HK pistols get skipped
The model names hide real differences
"VP9" covers several guns. Full-size, SK, and the A1 revisions do not share a slide length and dust cover, and the K-length guns are different again. Whichever HK you own, the shell has to index on that slide and that dust cover, so the first thing we ask is which exact variant it is.
Paddle magazine releases and grip panels
HK's controls and interchangeable grip panels sit in places holster makers designing for Glock never have to think about. On a made-to-order shell this is a non-issue, because we are forming around your gun's actual outside profile rather than adapting a mold designed for something else.
Light and optic pairings are unusual
Both HK builds above shipped with an optic, and one with a weapon light. We form the shell around the gun-and-light as a single unit rather than relying on the light for retention, and we cut the shell so the optic clears without the sight housing riding on Kydex.
Nobody stocks them in a color
The FDE CC9 rig above is a good example. If a catalog does carry an HK holster, it carries it in black. Every model we make is available across the full finish library at the same price.
Which rig suits an HK
- Port City Inboard IWB — single-shell appendix carry. The CC9 build above is an Inboard rig, and it is the lowest-bulk way to carry a slim HK.
- DB Endo Sidecar — pistol and spare magazine on one platform. The steadiest option for the larger VP-series guns, since the magazine carrier spreads the load across the belt.
- Port City Outrigger OWB — belt-loop OWB for range and open carry. The VP9A1 K build above is an Outrigger with enhanced belt loops.
- Port City Jetty OWB — slim OWB that rides close to the body for everyday outside-the-waistband carry.
What to tell us when you order
- The exact model and variant — VP9, VP9SK, VP9A1, a K-length gun, P30, P30SK, P2000, USP, USP Compact, CC9, and so on
- Weapon light make and model
- Optic make and model
- Whether you want the muzzle open or closed
- Any aftermarket parts that change the outside profile
- Which hand you carry on — either hand, same price
We confirm everything with you by email before any Kydex is heated. We never ask a customer to ship a firearm.
Common questions
You have only built two HK rigs. Should I be worried?
No. Every holster here is formed to one configuration on a one-off basis, so a gun we have built ten of and a gun we have built none of go through exactly the same process. The list above is evidence that we do this work, not the extent of it.
Will a VP9 holster fit my VP9SK?
Treat them as different guns when you order. Name the variant and we form for that variant.
Can I add a light later?
Not to an existing shell. A holster formed around a bare gun will not accept it with a light fitted, and one formed around a light will not retain the gun without it. Decide before you order, or order two.
What does it cost?
Rigs start at $75 for the Inboard IWB and $95 for the DB Endo Sidecar, before finish and hardware options.
